Configure a planning scenario, plan type and planning period
Procedure
- Open the planning-scenario catalog in Planning and create a scenario. Set one planning frequency and choose quantity-only or quantity-and-value planning with its currency.
- On the plan structure, add the required demand, supply and stock stages in the intended sequence.
- Create a plan type from the stage or its catalog. Choose Sales Forecast by items/categories, purchase, stock, kitting or consumption as appropriate.
- Set its source/derived role, replacing/accumulating method and detailing dimensions. Do not mix company-wide and warehouse/customer detail unintentionally.
- If expected payments are needed, use quantity-and-value planning and inspect the payment-schedule option.
- Save the scenario/type and create one plan. Check that its periods, dimensions and monetary columns match the setup.
- Create a controlled revised plan to verify whether it replaces or adds to earlier quantities before using a rolling/cumulative approach.
