Track a sales opportunity through outcome

Procedure

  1. Open CRM and marketing > Sales opportunities and choose the supported opportunity/deal type. Distinguish a simple record, manual stages and a business-process-driven type.
  2. Enter the customer, primary interest, responsible person, expected amount and probability; link the relevant contacts, terms and source interaction.
  3. Save and reopen the opportunity. Check its stage, participants and linked documents.
  4. Record interactions and update manual stages according to actual progress. If a business process is used, inspect the real assigned tasks instead of assuming a plan automatically assigns work.
  5. Create a quotation or order from the opportunity when supported, then verify the source link and customer/terms.
  6. Close the opportunity with won or lost and a real loss reason where applicable. Generate the funnel/effectiveness report for a defined period and compare the record’s outcome.
