Create vendor orders from approved purchase plans
Use an approved purchase plan with the intended scenario, period and delivery dates. Generate orders only for the approved quantities still needing procurement.
Start at Planning > Convert plan to purchase orders.
Procedure
- Open purchase-order generation from approved plans. Select scenario, order period and department; set explicit filters so only intended plans are included.
- Narrow supplier, agreement, delivery period and warehouse filters where needed. Continue with the next step.
- Review plan rows and quantities planned, already ordered and still to order. Resolve quantities already covered by existing orders before creating more.
- Set supplier, agreement and warehouse for selected rows. Use the action to fill prices from purchase terms and compare currency, price and packaging with the agreement.
- Use the action to set delivery dates or the row move/distribution action only for selected rows. Review shifts, shares and rounding before applying a distribution.
- Mark selected rows for order. Review order creation parameters, including grouping by date, warehouse or plan line, and inspect the prepared orders in the lower table.
- On the final step, use the order creation action. Open generated orders and check supplier, agreement, dates, quantities and links to the plan.
- Review purchase plan execution. A changed supplier may prevent an order from counting toward a supplier-specific plan; resolve this deliberately instead of assuming the plan is fulfilled.
Check the result
Created orders cover only selected unfulfilled plan quantities and the plan execution report shows the intended coverage.
If the result differs
No plan rows: check approved status, scenario, period and department filters. Plan execution is not credited: compare the plan supplier and generated order supplier.
