Allocate, split and generate payments in the cash forecast

Cash forecast must open successfully and expose request allocation. If the workplace shows an unexpected-error page, use the troubleshooting below before planning or generating payments.

Use authorized payment requests and accurate bank/cash balances. Calendar allocation schedules payment; it is not actual cash movement.

Start at Treasury > Cash forecast.

Procedure

  1. Open Cash forecast and set company, date range, currency and relevant accounts/cash desks. Select the request/calendar view or equivalent working view.
  2. Review unallocated requests by due date, department, operation and priority. Compare available funds with obligations before allocating.
  3. Assign the intended account/cash desk and payment date. Review any shortage or rescheduling consequence and obtain the required authorization.
  4. If a payment must be split, use the payment allocation split action and enter dates/accounts and component amounts. Check that the split total equals the intended request amount.
  5. Review allocations authorized for payment. Cancel allocation for a mistaken schedule rather than creating an unrelated new request.
  6. Generate payment documents for selected allocations only. Review grouping by payee, operation, department and funding account before confirming.
  7. Open generated payment documents and confirm the source request, amount and planned date. Process actual bank/cash payment separately.
  8. Refresh the forecast and inspect paid and remaining allocations. For an approved cancellation of an unpaid remainder, close that remainder using the supported request control. Reopen only after authorization and recheck the amount still payable.

Check the result

Split allocations and generated payments sum to the intended amount, and unexecuted payments remain visible in the forecast.

If the result differs

Cash forecast does not open: retry once and report a persistent unexpected error to support. Split total differs: correct allocation amounts before generating payments; review previously generated documents first.
