Transfer funds between cash accounts and bank accounts

Identify source and destination company accounts, currency and authorization. Track funds in transit until the receiving side actually accepts them.

Start at Treasury > Bank account payments; incoming/outgoing cash-account payments.

Procedure

  1. Where transfer planning is required, create Funds Transfer Order and choose the actual type: bank-to-bank, cash-to-cash, deposit, withdrawal or collection.
  2. Select source and receiving accounts/cash desks, amount, currency and expected dates. Check each cash account’s requirement for a transfer order.
  3. Submit and approve the transfer according to rights. Do not confuse approved/ready status with money already received.
  4. Create the source outgoing cash/bank document with the correct transfer or collection operation. Record actual handover/debit and its reference.
  5. Create or match the receiving cash/bank document from the transfer basis only after actual receipt or bank credit. Verify amount and currency.
  6. Reconcile source decrease, destination increase and remaining in-transit amount. Record bank/collection fees separately under the approved operation.

Check the result

One source payment corresponds to one actual receipt or a documented in-transit balance; fees do not silently reduce the transfer principal.

If the result differs

Source is debited but destination is not credited: check actual receipt and in-transit documents. Difference equals a fee: record the authorized fee separately from principal.
