Approve price changes and enforce permitted ranges

Procedure

  1. Inspect the price-approval settings and define responsible approvers before using approval on price-setting documents.
  2. Prepare a price change and keep it not approved where approval is used. Start the approval process through the document approval action.
  3. Have the approver review and approve or reject; verify the pending/active status and effective price in a sales document.
  4. In the permitted-price-range settings in the price-type list, select the types representing minimum/maximum sale and maximum purchase prices. Register actual boundary values.
  5. Under a normal user, test a price inside and outside the range including discounts. Record warning/block/override behavior separately from administrator behavior.
  6. For scheduled updates, open the automatic price-update schedule, select intended types and schedule, then inspect generated price-setting documents to check effective values and duplicate handling.
