Maintain partner structures and effective detail history

Procedure

1. Open the partner and its Counterparties link. Use one partner with several legal counterparties for a holding, or separate child partners under a parent for a retail chain.
2. Select the counterparty type that corresponds to the actual entity; review the fields shown for that type. For a branch, link the head counterparty and the actual branch address/details.
3. Open the current-value or effective-date link beside a historical detail and add the new value with its effective date rather than overwriting history without review.
4. For address history, inspect the address type’s dialog-only editing and change-history tracking settings; use the address-history dialog.
5. Open the partner-profile report and contact reports, and verify parent/child and legal-entity links. Compare a new and older document printout after an effective-dated change.
