Setting item prices
A manual price type needs item-price records before it provides numeric prices. Use the price list to select the items and type, enter approved prices and apply them from the intended date.
Before you start
Create the manual price type and check its currency, VAT inclusion basis and usage. Have the item references, approved unit prices and effective date ready.
Build the price list
- Open CRM and marketing > Prices (price list) and review As of.
- Choose Generate… to open Customize price list settings.
- In Item filter, use the item-based selection (By items) and add the intended items. Use F4 to select a real reference from Items, then Select. Typed text alone can leave the item unselected and cause Product is not filled in.
- If an item is not found, review the item-type filter and select its relevant type before searching again.
- Review the price-set and availability filters for the intended selection. Does not matter leaves that filter unrestricted; the list does not universally hide either priced or unpriced items.
- Open Price list columns. Select the intended type in both the pencil/edit and eye/show columns. A highlighted checkbox cell is not necessarily checked; use Space where needed and verify its state.
- Choose OK and review the generated rows, item units, currency and price-type column.
Enter and apply the prices
- Edit the Price cell for each intended item and type. Check the approved unit price and the row's changed indicator.
- Choose Apply changed prices.
- In Set new prices, check As of, the effective date for the new prices. Add an explanatory comment if needed.
- Choose Apply.
- Check that the changed marker disappears and the intended values remain in the list.
Verify the registration
Open Price settings and inspect Price change history. Find the new record and check its effective date, price type, responsible user and comment where used. Compare the price-list value and unit with the approved price.
Before using the price in a sales document, check the terms and selected price type, then review the value filled into the document line. Registering an item price is separate from choosing the terms used by a customer.
If a row or price is missing
Check the item reference, type filter, price-set/availability filters and effective date. If the price-type column is absent or not editable, check both the show and edit columns in the generation settings.
This guide covers manual price entry. Formula calculation and imports require separate configuration and checks.
