Configure supply methods and stock replenishment levels
Choose the item/variant and warehouse. Decide whether replenishment is purchase, transfer or kitting and use approved lead-time and stock-level data.
Start at Warehouse and delivery > Inventory replenishment parameters.
Procedure
- Open Inventory replenishment parameters and filter the warehouse. Add items manually, by filter or from a file; review existing rows before bulk changes.
- Select a replenishment method: manually maintained minimum/maximum, demand statistics, consumption norm or order-to-order as appropriate. New zero minimum/maximum values do not establish a useful stock policy.
- Enter min/max levels or the method’s daily demand, safety stock and coverage inputs. Check units and warehouse working calendar; inspect statistics period and abnormal consumption before accepting recommendations.
- Choose fulfillment from stock or fulfillment independent of stock levels. These modes treat shipment demand and warehouse reserves differently; compare one known example before applying to many items.
- Assign a supply method: supplier/agreement for Purchase, source warehouse for Transfer, or component specification for Assembly. Set lead time and, where relevant, transfer/assembly duration.
- Set reorder-point or scheduled ordering and coverage period. Check next delivery date and working calendar warnings; do not silently accept an assumed all-working-days calendar.
- For a stable multiwarehouse chain, assign a fulfillment scheme to the item and its warehouse-method pairs. Review item-specific overrides and variant-specific settings before saving.
- Preview demand-driven orders for one item. Confirm that the supplier/source, quantity and expected date match the configured policy before bulk assignment.
Check the result
The same item/warehouse produces an explainable quantity and date; variant and warehouse overrides are visible.
If the result differs
No useful recommendation: review zero min/max, missing supply source and calendar data. Variant differs from expectation: inspect individual settings and warehouse overrides.
