Review and generate advanced demand-driven orders

Use configured supply methods, working calendars and replenishment parameters. Identify the expected demand before running the assistant.

Start at Warehouse and delivery > Demand-driven orders.

Procedure

  1. Select warehouse/item scope. In supply-method selection, choose only methods to process now and fill any missing supplier/source.
  2. For each method review the item-ordering policy mode: items at their reorder point, all items for scheduled planning or no ordering today. Fill the next delivery date where required.
  3. At stock replenishment compare current stock, expected incoming orders, minimum/maximum levels and the quantity to order. Check how fulfillment from stock versus independent fulfillment changes the calculation.
  4. At sales-order fulfillment inspect required/fulfilled quantities, quantity to order, shipment date and shipping warehouse. A reserve at another warehouse can affect the recommendation without moving goods to the shipping warehouse.
  5. Review packaging and minimum purchase lot. Open the packaging detail to explain rounding; a dedicated order quantity and an unassigned rounding remainder must remain distinguishable.
  6. At the order preview inspect grouped orders and their item rows. Check source, agreement, warehouse, currency, package, quantity and any below-minimum-order warning.
  7. Create only the reviewed orders. In the final order list open each created purchase, transfer or kitting order and verify its dates and demand coverage.
  8. Recheck source-order traceability and rerun demand analysis. Do not assume an automatic document link merely because demand contributed to an aggregated order.

Check the result

Selected demand is covered once, date/warehouse differences are understood and every rounding excess is explained.

If the result differs

Date/quantity is unexpected: compare ordering mode, lead time and coverage period. Generated documents duplicate supply: review open orders and demand links before creating more.
