Receive and transfer stock assigned to a specific order

Use an order/designation requiring dedicated fulfillment. Distinguish an assignment from legal owner, project and physical warehouse.

Start at Warehouse and delivery > Assigned goods transfer; Receipt; Transfer orders.

Procedure

  1. On the demand order choose the dedicated fulfillment flag/action and post it to register the assignment. Review the exact order shown as purpose/designation.
  2. Generate or link the supply order and receipt to that assignment. In assignment selection inspect requirement in this warehouse, all warehouses and stock already assigned.
  3. At receipt inspect the purpose/assignment on every item row. If an inbound instruction contains several assignments, select the intended assignment manually and split quantities as necessary.
  4. For mixed dedicated/free receipt confirm that the dedicated quantity ends at its demand and the remaining quantity is recorded without an assignment.
  5. If assigned stock must move, open dedicated transfer management and choose distribution from one source or fulfillment of one receiving warehouse. Set dates and warehouse filters explicitly.
  6. Review demand, available stock, proposed transfer quantity and duration. Edit the schedule to use the intended source warehouses and quantities.
  7. Generate only selected transfer orders/transfers and complete physical issue/receipt according to each warehouse scheme. Check that assignment and batch survive the movement.
  8. Check fulfillment status for the demand order and assigned stock at both warehouses. Release/reassign explicitly if the original purpose changes.

Check the result

Physical stock and dedicated quantities reconcile by order and warehouse, with no shipment against the wrong assignment.

If the result differs

Assignment is not offered: inspect remaining requirement, warehouse and existing dedicated supply. Free/dedicated stock mixes: review purpose on each receipt/transfer row and correct the assignment explicitly.
