Fulfill an order partially and review available stock

Identify the order mode, shipping warehouse, shipment date and actual availability. Reservation, expected receipt and informational allocation are different.

Start at Open the source sales order and its availability/fulfillment detail.

Procedure​

  1. Open the order’s availability or fulfillment-status detail for the selected item. Compare on-hand, free, reserved and expected quantities, including other orders.
  2. Choose the intended fulfillment action: reserve current stock, reserve upon receipt, register demand without a firm reserve, or hold the line without fulfillment.
  3. For a partial quantity choose reservation or shipment of current stock and enter only the intended quantity in the selection form. Inspect the resulting split and unfulfilled remainder.
  4. If a warehouse group is used, review the warehouse assigned to every resulting row. Automatic assignment follows the configured warehouse rules and must match the actual shipping plan.
  5. Record the order through its configured workflow and review payment/availability restrictions for the selected shipment action. Resolve a shortage or obtain approved reassignment instead of disabling reservation control.
  6. Create the customer invoice/shipment for only shipping-ready remaining quantities, then complete the warehouse issue where required. Review goods inherited into the generated document.
  7. Refresh fulfillment status and the source order. Keep unshipped demand open or explicitly cancel the approved remainder before using the order-closing assistant.
  8. For distant shipment dates, inspect any deferred reservation and scheduled refresh before treating forecast coverage as a firm reserve. Compare the same item/date again after receipt.

Check the result​

Only the selected partial quantity is shipped/reserved; remainder, other-order effects and warehouse assignments remain explicit.

If the result differs​

Available differs from on-hand: inspect other orders and reservations. Invoice contains too much: return to the intended shipping-ready quantity and verify the unfulfilled remainder.
