Generate purchase orders for stock and shipment demand
Configure a supplier and replenishment parameters for selected item/warehouse pairs. Use a narrow filter before generating orders.
Start at Warehouse and delivery > Demand-driven orders.
Procedure
- Open demand-driven order creation and choose the warehouse and relevant item/supplier filters. Confirm whether the company uses the simplified or advanced assistant.
- In stock replenishment, compare current quantity, minimum/maximum levels, open incoming orders and the proposed purchase quantity.
- Change the proposed quantity only after checking units, package coefficient and quantities already ordered. Exclude rows not to be ordered today.
- Continue to shipment-demand fulfillment. Review which customer-order demand remains uncovered and whether it is already reserved or expected from existing supply.
- Set supplier, agreement and required delivery date for each selected demand. Review any proposed minimum-lot/package rounding.
- At the generated purchase-order review inspect every proposed order before creating it. Check company, warehouse, currency, price and delivery date.
- Create the selected orders, open them and rerun the assistant with the same filter to verify that existing supply is recognized and not ordered twice.
Check the result
The resulting purchase quantity covers intended demand after existing stock/incoming supply, with no unexplained duplicate order.
If the result differs
Demand is missing: check order action, warehouse and existing supply. Proposed quantity is too large: inspect package rounding and minimum purchase lots before creating orders.
